Moving Solutions will design and install a ceiling track hoist system to facilitate transfers around the home, in hospital, in school, or almost anywhere else. Contact us to arrange a visit, and we will prepare a scaled plan of the project and a firm quotation free of charge. We will also try to advise on the most simple and cost effective solution.

Simple Rail Example

In this example, a straight rail is fixed to the ceiling to allow transfers from bed to wheelchair or shower chair.

Simple Rail Example 2

This straight rail provides safe transfers from wheelchair to toilet or bath, even in this small bathroom.

Wall to Wall Rail Example

The ceiling in this case was not able to support the weight of the system, and it was important to keep the floor clear, so a wall to wall rail spans the whole room, making hoisting transfers easy.

Wall to Wall Example

Wall to Wall rail is slightly deeper than standard rail, but still very neat and unobtrusive.

The new Wales Millennium Centre is a jewel in the crown for Wales. For this customer, we installed an “x-y” ceiling track hoist system covering a floor area of nearly 70 m squared. The “x-y” system links to a second system for transfers into a changing area.

Ceiling Track Example

This customer needed a continuous transfer from bed to bath and WC, and the solution involved a rail system incorporating various curves.

Emergency

Our new ceiling track hoist motors incorporate a mechanical emergency “down” function, which operates even if the motor does not.

The emergency “stop”, like the emergency “down’ is operated by a simple pull cord.

Remote

For rail systems providing access to swimming pools, or ceiling track hoist systems which are operated by the wheelchair user, we have an infra-red remote control.
